Order Confirmation & Contract Formation

When you place an order on our website, you will receive an automated confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order. This does not constitute acceptance of your order.

A contract between you and Foothills Sheffield Ltd is formed when:

  • Your order is accepted by us, and
  • The goods are dispatched and we send you a dispatch confirmation email

We reserve the right to cancel an order prior to dispatch in the event of pricing errors, stock issues, payment authorisation failure, or suspected fraud. If this occurs, we will contact you and issue a full refund.


Pricing & VAT

All prices shown on our website include VAT at the current UK rate where applicable.

If your delivery address is outside the UK, VAT will be removed at checkout where applicable.

International deliveries may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and handling fees depending on the destination country.


UK Delivery

Dispatch Times

We aim to dispatch UK orders within 5 working days. During busy periods dispatch may take slightly longer. If there is a significant delay we will contact you.

Delivery Services

Delivery services and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.

UK orders over £70.00 qualify for free standard delivery (where applicable).

Delivery Address & Safe Place

Please ensure your delivery address is correct and that someone is available to receive the parcel.

If you provide delivery instructions (for example, a safe place request), you do so at your own risk.


Delivery Responsibility & Risk

All goods remain the responsibility of Foothills Sheffield Ltd until they are delivered to the address provided.

Delivery is considered complete when the goods are delivered to the address specified at checkout.

If a parcel is lost before delivery is completed, we will investigate with the carrier and provide an appropriate remedy.

If an incorrect delivery address is provided by the customer, we cannot be held responsible for delivery failures resulting from this.


Missed Deliveries

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the carrier may leave a calling card or transfer the parcel to a depot/collection point.

It is the customer’s responsibility to rearrange delivery or collect the parcel within the carrier’s stated timeframe.

If a parcel is returned to us due to failed delivery attempts, we may charge additional postage for re-dispatch.


United States Delivery (Manual Quote Process)

Our website does not automatically calculate U.S. shipping costs and import duties.

If you place an order for delivery to the USA, we will contact you to confirm the total shipping cost and any duties/surcharges payable before dispatch.

Due to U.S. customs rules and Royal Mail service requirements, duties and surcharges may need to be paid in advance for goods entering the USA. Where applicable, these amounts will be included in the total shipping charge we quote.

Once confirmed, we will create a secure payment link for the additional shipping/duty costs. Your order will be dispatched only once these charges have been paid.

We do not absorb U.S. import duties or customs surcharges.

If you do not wish to proceed after receiving the quote, you may cancel for a full refund provided the order has not been dispatched.


Other International Orders

For international destinations other than the USA, delivery options and charges will be shown at checkout where available. In some cases we may contact you with a shipping quote prior to dispatch.

International customers are responsible for any import duties, local taxes, and customs handling fees charged by their destination country, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

If a parcel is refused due to unpaid customs charges and returned to us, we may deduct return shipping costs from any refund.


Stock Availability

If an item is out of stock or unavailable after your order has been placed, we will contact you before proceeding. You may choose to:

  • Wait for restocking
  • Choose an alternative item
  • Cancel the order for a full refund

Cancellations Before Dispatch

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible.

If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will issue a full refund.

If the order has already been dispatched, you must follow the procedure in our Returns & Refunds Policy.


Christmas & Seasonal Delivery

Seasonal delivery deadlines (including Christmas last posting dates) are published separately during peak periods and are based on carrier guidance. Unless a guaranteed service is selected, delivery by a specific date cannot be guaranteed.
